Sciatica

Health issues like sciatica are related to a person’s daily lifestyle. Evaluate your daily activities closely. Do you lift heavy objects frequently? Are you seated at a desk for long periods of time? If so you need to make some adjustments to the way you work. A good starting point is increasing the frequency and duration that you stretch. Increasing your daily exercise encourages us to stretch. Without regular exercise our abdominal and core muscles weaken and low back and gluts muscles tighten.

Piriformis syndrome is a muscular condition mainly responsible for symptoms of sciatica. The piriformis muscle that attaches from your low back to your leg becomes so tight that it can compress the sciatic nerve sending pain into the back, gluts and further down the leg.

Exercise and regular physical therapy is crucial to maintaining your good health. Our hands-on techniques can quickly release the tight muscles compressing the sciatic nerve. Once this pressure is relieved, followed by regular exercise and stretching sciatica should be a thing of the past.
